Still going strong and not one problem at all. I recently added a TS9 and a BOSS SD1 in front of the rk5. This allows for about six different drive tones and drive stacking. It is imperative that you have your amp or PA sound level the same and matched to the sansamp section if you elect to use it or else the balance between the two is off. If running through an amp always run it through the clean channel

This thing shines whether used through the loop, in front of an amp...just about any amp or a PA, which is how I primarily use it

I've run it through a Marshall 2x12 combo, a Fender champ, A peavey bass amp, a powered monitor, a house Pa, a little belt clip Marshall amp and direct to my studio PA

IT SOUNDS EXACLTY THE SAME IN ALL OF THEM

What attracted me to it was being able to take it anywhere and plug into just about anything and get my sound...tired of lugging cabinets and even 212 Marshall combo is 70 pounds

Want to wake it up even more? Since it has the built in boost, amp drive and the OMG pedal you are already equipped with essentially three gain stages. I run a compressor and GE7 with slight mid boost and volume boost to add another stack tone

If you run a BBE sonic stomp at the output it's night and day...literally sounds like you took a blanket off of your speakers. My most used feature is my guitar volume know and the RK5 tap tempo delay
Not overly impressed with the clean sound though. No matter what I do it just doesn't cut like I want it to

This works perfect! It's a great backup if needed as well. I use ot to practice and through it in the gig bag just incase I need it. You could even use it for a guest guitarist. I run it straight to the mixer or to a powered monitor.

This pedal does what I need - plug straight into a mixer, no DI box required. You get a clean sound, much cleaner than comparable cheaper Behringer sans amp pedals.
I plan to use this for open mic nights, with maybe only one additional pedal.
Highly recommend. I see the difference in quality, so I'm sold on Tech 21 now.

I have used Tech-21 for about 25-30 years and I love every unit I own by them. I had read how useful this device was for quick �grab and go� for jams and gigs and it is all true. I only wish it had a tuner. Aside from that there are no needs for cables, pedal board etc. The latest model has a tuner but it also is more complicated with added features. I prefer this unit for its simplicity. I can deal with an additional tuner. Along with my axe, my lunchbox �mini stack� and a small gig bag for this little box and a few cables thrown over my shoulders I can easily get to and from the car in one trip. That might sound like a lot but in practice it�s light and easy to carry, especially compared to a 45 pound brute of a tube amp and then all that you need to go with it.
