This thing is just a beast. Knobs feel great when turning and don't move around a lot even when transporting. Really easy to dial in any sound your looking for from a decent rock rhythm to a full out metal lead.
It's a rectifier in a box. At least as far as the drive tones go.
The EQ stack seems to be active because there is a huge amount of range in them.
To my ears, this pedal is very dark, especially on the "hard" setting. Engage the "brutal" mode and it gets quite a bit brighter.
The triple wreck allows a wide range of distortion tones thanks to the responsive bass/mid/treble and boost switch + contour that allows a fuzz/filter effect to be added as well as the the brutal toggle that changes the tone from a vintage style distortion to a more modern sound.
I haven't got to spend a lot of time with this pedal yet but great sounds right out of the box, I don't think you can go wrong getting this pedal even if your not into metal I play classic rock and its awesome so far.
You can nail the sound with this pedal. It"s incredibly feature rich with many voicings available to be discovered. It"s not just for metal either, it can do tamer rock tones, and the boost can even be made to sound like a fuzz.
