Really excellent studio headphones, particularly for recording/micing/reamping guitars at high volume. I usually don't think noise cancelling headphones have good sound quality, but BD delivers as always. Nice long cable too. The only reason I don't give these a 5/5 in noise cancellation is because I don't think they're quite protective enough for hard hitting rock/metal drummers without earplugs. Lighter styles of drumming should be fine.

This is my first experience with Beyerdynamic, an excellent headphone.
Use the in my music studio. Very comfortable and full range of sound for my ears.
I like the in line volume control and long cord for freedom of movement. Great purchase !!!

This is easily the best headphone I've ever bought in my life !!!!!!!!!! I'm a musician and I have never worn a more comfortable pair of headphones like these. It even has special padding for the top of the head. The sound is very deep and thick. Yet, I can hear the high frequencies clearly. I also love that these don't break. I've had my headphones for a while and I can feel the strength in the side connections without it feeling tight on me. With other headphones I've owned they would break when you bend them a lot to put them out in the process of stretching them to fit on your head. Not these. I give this rave review because a company finally did it right and thought about us the customer in making the right sounding headphone, a comfortable headphone where I don't get irritated even wearing it for 10 hours straight. It even has a volume control on the wire itself connected to the headphone. The wire length is really long. Also, its only one wire connected to the headphone freeing up your other side of your head. I'm telling people, this is MY DREAM HEADPHONE. I wish I could give it more that five stars !!!!!

I purchased these for recording but found they have an equally valuable use... they are awesome noise cancelling headphones without using any kind of noise cancelling tech. With these on, I can work in a busy hotel lobby or airport with the music on low, and barely hear any of the noises going on around me. If you've been looking for noise cancelling headphones but hate that "noise cancel tech" feeling of having your head in a glass box, then these are well worth a try.

Absolutely fantastic isolation when playing music in the studio. I love it for Being able to hear the recorded parts in the studio over the blast and guitar amp and be able to actually hear what the amplifier will sound like in the final mix. Part of the problem before was that my headphones did not have enough isolation so I had no clue what they would truly sound like
