The original Friedman PT has long been a top-selling tube combo, able to deliver the sound of a 100-watt, EL84-powered monster in a pint-sized, 20-watt, EL84-fueled package. The PT V2 exhibits the same fire-breathing sound as its predecessor, but with a larger speaker and greater sonic flexibility. This guitar amplifier produces the full gamut of tones, from classic-rock chime to hard-rock crunch to heavy-metal thunder. You get a 3-band EQ for dialing in your basic tone, along with a Fat switch for thicker textures and a Sat switch for heavier saturation. You also get a 3-position S switch for absolute control over the PT V2's gain structure. This 1-channel dynamo includes a Celestion Creamback speaker for a distinctive British-flavored character and an ultra-transparent FX loop for easy integration with your pedals and outboard effects.
