I have been a Sennheiser 835 user. I gave this microphone a try because my voice is similar to Myles.
After plugging into the PA it was clear that this microphone was designed to cut through the mix. A well done microphone from SE
The SE should be replaced by Shure everywhere as the no. 1 choice for pro dynamic mics for less than RM400. These beat 58's by a far enough margin to make SE the future of the This amp doesn't kill vocals like the 58 does, and doesn't need an immense amount of EQ like the 58s does. It has a natural sounding high end, too. A dynamic mic on an acoustic guitar has a raw, pleasing sound that is comparable to that of some studio condensers I have Surely, I can't compare it to every mic on the market, but in the world where millions of SM58s are used every day, here is a much superior alternative at.
My favorite part about this mic is the sound. The SM58 was also purchased at the same time so that I could compare the two. Compared to the SM58, I found the V7 to have a little more crispness in the low end, while the SM58 had less hum at low frequencies. There is just something more refined, cleaner, and clear about the V7. The issue of dynamic vs condenser for my voice-over video narration at home was also on my mind. think this is the best choice it offers both the quality of a condenser and the sound isolation of a dynamic. This is ideal for a room with a lot of ambient noise and no treatment. I did my research and found that the V7 was a great mic for the money.
Love this mic sounds great!
When I record vocals, I love using this mic. purchased it because of a good review from Tape Op magazine, curious how it might differ from the studio microphones I already own. I began with the SM57 for vocal quality, but (for me and my voice and style) I ended up switching to the Studio Projects B1. However, after setting up the V7 and taking a few takes, I determine to just leave the default settings. We are now in the middle of a tossup Both are close to each other. For the price, it seems like a great buy.
