✔ Avoid the prevalence of fake or grey-market units on Shopee, TikTok Shop, and Lazada

Music Bliss carries the Sonor AQX series — a lineup built for players moving from entry-level kits into serious, gig-ready setups, with configurations for different genres and playing environments.

➤ AQX Jungle – Compact shell sizes suited to small stages, tight studio corners, and drummers who value portability without giving up tone.

➤ AQX Jazz – Smaller diameters and shallower depths tuned for jazz, acoustic, and low-volume live settings where articulation matters more than raw power.

➤ AQX Safari – A travel-friendly configuration, easy to transport for gigging drummers who move between venues frequently

.➤ AQX Stage – Standard rock/pop configuration built for full-band live performance and general gigging use.

➤ AQX Studio – Sized and voiced for balanced studio recording, with tonal consistency across the shell pack.

➤ AQX BOP – Vintage-inspired bop-kit sizing for drummers who want a smaller footprint with a classic, punchy voice.

The right AQX configuration depends on how and where you'll be playing:

● Playing environment — Small stages or tight studio spaces suit AQX Jungle or AQX BOP; full-band live gigging suits AQX Stage.

● Musical genre — Jazz, acoustic, and low-volume settings suit AQX Jazz; general rock/pop gigging suits AQX Stage or AQX Safari.

● Studio vs. live use — AQX Studio is voiced for recording consistency, while AQX Safari and AQX Stage are built with gigging durability and transport in mind.

● Portability needs — If you move between venues often, AQX Safari's travel-friendly sizing is worth prioritising over larger configurations.

● Budget and upgrade path — All AQX kits share Sonor's build quality, so choice often comes down to shell size preference rather than a quality trade-off.

Our team can walk you through each configuration in person at the showroom so you can hear and feel the difference before deciding.

The Sonor AQX series uses a Poplar/Asian Mahogany shell blend, designed to deliver a warm low-end with a focused mid-range attack — a tonal balance that works well across genres without needing heavy EQ or dampening.

● Poplar contributes to a rounder, warmer low-end
● Asian Mahogany adds punch and projection in the mid-range
● The blend keeps the kit versatile for both live and studio use, rather than being tuned narrowly for one genre

This shell composition is part of why AQX kits are recommended for drummers who play across multiple settings — church, studio, and live gigs — without needing a second kit.

The three configurations differ mainly in shell depth and diameter, which changes how the kit responds and projects:

➤ AQX Jazz – Shallower depths and smaller diameters (e.g. 18" kick) produce a tighter, more articulate low-end suited to brushwork, acoustic sets, and low-volume rooms.

➤ AQX BOP – Vintage-style sizing similar to Jazz but voiced slightly punchier, giving a classic small-kit character with more attack than a traditional jazz tuning.

➤ AQX Stage – Standard/deeper shell sizing (e.g. 22" kick) produces a fuller, more resonant low-end built to cut through a full band mix at stage volume.

If you're unsure which suits your playing, our team can set up more than one configuration side by side at the showroom so you can compare projection and articulation directly.

Can I play acoustic drums in an apartment? How can I reduce the noise?

Yes — but acoustic drums are naturally loud, so you’ll need proper noise control to make it workable in an apartment.

● The Reality

Acoustic drums can easily disturb neighbours due to impact noise (vibration) and airborne sound (volume). Without treatment, complaints are very likely.

How to Reduce Drum Noise?

● Use Low-Volume Practice Accessories

✔ Mesh drum heads (replace standard drum heads)
✔ Low-volume cymbals (quieter metal cymbals)
✔ Rubber practice pads / mutes

👉 This is the most effective and practical solution for apartments.

● Add Drum Mutes

✔ Place drum mutes or dampening pads on snare, toms, and cymbals
✔ Reduces volume significantly while keeping the feel

● Control Vibration (Very Important)

✔ Use a drum mat or isolation platform
✔ Add thick rugs or foam padding under the kit

👉 This reduces vibration transferred to the floor (a major cause of complaints).

● Room Treatment

✔ Curtains, carpets, and soft furniture help absorb sound
✔ Close windows and doors during practice
