Faris grew up chasing music the analogue way — waiting for a favourite song on the radio, wearing out cassettes in a Sony Walkman, and eventually borrowing his older brothers' guitar and bass just to see what it felt like to make the sound himself. That curiosity turned into years of playing in bands through high school, and a lifelong obsession with gear, subcultures and the stories behind the instruments.

His professional path started outside music entirely — in F&B business development, then real estate and office leasing. In 2024 he made the deliberate move to connect his career to what he actually cared about, joining Music Bliss as Senior Executive, Business Development and taking on Gibson as his brand. That combination of commercial grounding and a musician's instincts now shapes how he builds artist collaborations, dealer relationships and in-store experiences around the guitars he handles.

Working with Gibson has made me appreciate the story behind a guitar just as much as the specifications.
