Blackmagic Design’s Teranex AV leverages the company’s patented Teranex processing to provide high-quality, low-latency standards conversion between all SD, HD, and Ultra HD formats. Teranex AV’s connectivity comprises HDMI 2.0a, 12G-SDI, and quad SDI outputs for video walls. You also get XLR, AES/EBU, and RCA audio connectors, 16 channels of frame-accurate audio conversion and full audio channel remapping, and an optical fiber cage for adding SMPTE-compatible fiber-optic SDI modules. Internal still store and live freeze frame modes ensure flexible operation. Moreover, Teranex AV retains all ancillary data during conversion, such as time code and subtitles. You also get a reference input and output for frame synchronization and sync generation, along with built-in video test pattern generation and audio test tones and Gigabit Ethernet connectivity for seamless remote control.
