This is a wide-ranging British-flavored overdrive that can be pushed well into high gain territory. The controls from the legendary amp are all here: Volume,Gain,Tight,Presence,Bass and Treble knobs allow you to dial in everything from smooth breakup to sustaining metal tones. Awesome guitar pedal and I love it. But It would be even better if it had a mid range.

Got this for my single channel Marshall origin pedal platform amp(tube amp) ... sends it right into Marshall jcm territory... so glad I got this instead of the mxr 5150... it actually has so much gain I had to open up the back and dial the gain back a bit ! Wow! This replaced my metal zone real quick!!! Lol

With the Gain on zero, it's like AC/DC and it only gets better after that. In the end, is it was you make it. If you can play and know how to use the guitar volume, pedal volume and amp controls, you can make it sound like anything you want and it's glorious!! If you max the gain and don't allow it to breath with your amp, it'll sound like junk. I run mine into the clean channel of my Friedman Runt 20 and it's incredible!!
It's a Friedman, so it's a well designed tool to bring your tonal vision to reality!!
