Does exactly what you want.

I wanted a great tube mic, I got a great tube mic. I've never used a real Telefunken 251, but I have a lot of high end mics and this is exactly what I was looking for. Full, rich sound option for those singers that can benefit from top end, tube roll off.

Warm 251

I'm a long time user of the Slate VMS. I find the main mic that I always seem to lean to is their emulation of the 251. I got the WA251 along with a Neve 1073 spx. Immediately upon tracking I was hooked. The WA251 has a smooth top end with a depth and body to it that needed very little eq. I'm very impressed with the WA251. For the price it's very hard to beat. Top shelf sound at an affordable price. The future is great.

Amazing warm sweet sound!

I worked in Hollywood on Tv/Film music for years.
I have my own studio now. Mic's cost allot and you need really good mic's. I always pay attention and research which mics sound best and are used in big name studios. I have to say, this mic sounds so good!
Vocals sound the same as a the big $$$$$ mic this was based off of. It will blow you away. Its deep smooth lows and mids and silky highs make this mic give you a distinct, analog sound. Its great on guitars, violas, celli,
Basses, vocals it rules. It is now my goto mic on vocals hands down. Just make sure your levels are good and your set. This is my third mic i own from Warm Audio.

Massive Sound, Smooth Highs

I have used this mic to record vocals, tenor sax, and acoustic guitar. All sound fantastic but my tenor sax sounds especially massive through this mic. Warm Audio got it right. Smooth highs, lots of detail, BIG sound. Super nice build quality. Highly recommend.

This thing sounds GREAT

I own a decent amount of different mics, including the Neumann 103 and Warm Audio's WA-47. However after much recording I have concluded that out of all of my options, the WA-251 rules on vocals. With a bit of compression and EQ enhancement, this mic brings out the clarity, detail and punch that no other mic in my arsenal can match. It's exactly what I am looking for in a vocal sound. I should mention that the shockmount that this mic comes with is borderline worthless. Overall, for the price Warm Audio is asking, this mic is friggin' amazing! I highly recommend it.
