Great moderate-high gain distortion pedal with a slightly modern voice in a TINY package.

Wide range of smooth high gain tones, with a slightly modern voice that is still pretty versatile. Stays articulate even when slammed by other pedals in front of it. Responds well to my guitar/touch. Also, you gotta love the small package. (...and check out the Xotic compressor too!)

Ive tried many a distortion pedal but I always come back to Xotic pedals...this is no exception. Outstanding tone and build quality.

Great natural sounding tube like distortion and for the size, amazing. Anything with Xotic on it is good to go, I've told a lot of my friends who play about the company and whatever they got the reaction was the same, "Great effects". Arrived right on time and perfect condition as the seller said.

I have to do a post gig review with this for any of you that are on the fence about this.
I use mesa for distortion and have a Zendrive for jazz/fusion stuff (though I play with no distortion more so than with), I'm saying that because I do know good overdrive and distortion (like everyone I love pedals).
I was doing a cover gig with my mini mesa and had the SL Drive in the chain to the clean channel with no amp distortion at all, I wanted to get another distortion for certain songs. Since it was crowded on stage it was the easiest to get to and I noticed after the gig ended I'd used the SL Drive the entire night.
My pickups are DiMarzio PAFs, couldn't have been happier with it I didn't expect it to be this good. So to wrap it up, if you've been Youtube-ing it like what you hear but aren't sure, it really is a great addition to your board. A tube amp is the key though, Xotic really did aces on this one too.

Great Distortion Pedal!

Very versatile sound for such a small pedal, which greatly responses to variety of styles: Rock, Metal, Blues, Alternative, etc. The gain control knob makes a big difference in achieving desirable tones.
