November to Remember: Celebrating Malaysian Guitar Owners and Everything Gibson!

Bukit Bintang, KL (December 13, 2023) - The Starhill Mall in Bukit Bintang was the venue for the much-anticipated November To Remember event, organized by Gibson Guitar Avenue by Music Bliss in collaboration with Peminat Gibson Malaysia. The event aimed to create a platform where Malaysian Gibson Guitar owners and collectors could come together, share their passion for Gibson Guitars, and celebrate their love for music.

The event had a great turnout, with almost 200 people in attendance. The attendees were welcomed by an impressive display of 80 guitars, ranging from the very classic and rare Gibson Guitars to the latest 2023 models owned by Malaysian Gibson guitar owners. The guitars were arranged in a way that allowed the attendees and the general public to view them up close and appreciate their beauty.

The event also featured participating guitar techs from The Guitar Hospital, Commit FX, Jovis Music, and DeGuitar Care, who provided consultations to guitar owners on how to maintain and improve their guitars. The techs shared their knowledge and expertise with the attendees, and guitar enthusiasts had the chance to interact with them and ask questions.

The guitar competitions held during the event were an exciting highlight for many attendees. The competitions included categories such as Oldest Gibson Guitar, Best Exotic Gibson Guitar, Best Burst Gibson Guitar, Best Looking Designer Gibson Guitar, Best Vintage Gibson Guitar, and Best In Show Gibson Guitar (overall main prize). The winners were chosen by votes from the attendees and the public, and the prizes were awarded to the deserving winners.

The event also featured seven lucky draws, and the lucky winners walked away with 30 watt mini amp heads from Friedman amps, Diezel amps, and Bogner amps. This added a layer of excitement to the event, and the lucky winners were thrilled to receive their prizes.

The event flow was well-planned, and attendees were entertained throughout the day. The opening acoustic performance by Muzza using his brand new Gibson Hummingbird acoustic guitar was a delight. The president of Peminat Gibson Malaysia and Business Development Manager of Gibson Guitar Avenue by Music Bliss gave an inspiring opening speech, where he shared the history of Gibson Guitars and highlighted the importance of the event.

Legendary Malaysian guitarist Man Keedal's live performance was a highlight of the event. He played his one and only heavily modified Gibson Flying V using three single pickups with scalloped frets, in which he shared his heartfelt story about how he acquired it from his early beginnings in 1982, and a Gibson ES-335. The event concluded with a live performance by Alif Putra using his Gibson Les Paul, followed by a group photo of attendees with their guitars.

In conclusion, the November To Remember event was a huge success. It brought together Malaysian Gibson Guitar owners and collectors to celebrate their shared love for Gibson Guitars. The event provided attendees and the general public with an opportunity to interact with other guitar enthusiasts, learn from guitar techs, and participate in exciting competitions and lucky draws.
