The best

It's way ahead of anything else on the market. Insane tweakability plus a new standard of great and realistic tones, especially if you're into classic reverb sounds. 11/10

It doesn't get any better

This destroys the big sky in terms of sound quality. The spring reverb stands up to a real reverb tank.

Like it better then the Strymon

I'm not going to go into a lot of detail about the unit because I lazy. The short is it a very nice pedal that does a ton of different things and has a mind boggling amount of control if you so wish. I used to have a strymon Bigsky but I found that the sound of strymon started to become very apparent to me, it's a great sound but I wanted something with more character. I was especially blown away by the Offspring mode. Anyways would recommend this pedal and it build quality to anyone.

A great reverb unit with many options

A great reverb unit with many options. I run it via a boss es-8 with midi so I had to program a bunch of presets into the midi via my macbook. This proved a tad complicated as the program went bad a few times but ultimately I was able to program a bunch of great presets into it and dial them up via the boss es-8. The reverbs are excellent and I actually prefer them to my actual spring reverb on my amp.. It has every possible reverb type on there and the ability to run two at the same time. Can go from basic spring to avant-garde hipster bizzarness.

The Ventris really is the best.....10/10 in tone meets quality!

There really is so much to rave about the Ventris so here is just a bit of what makes it so great:
1) Tone. Each reverb option is unique from the next...as it should be. Where it separates from the others is how unique each one is from any other. The Eventide and Empress options are great but more money and for extras that I do not need . The depth of tone really defined a unique character to each reverb algorithm where one can distinguish it without looking at the pedal. The "mojo" was greater than the Strymon options ...it had more character and stands in a class all by itself.

2) Ease of use. The learning curve is easy and dynamic. Presets? Yes but I don't even use any as the tones are so distinguishable and the interface so user-friendly that much of what I do is easy to commit to memory. In contrast to the Oceans 12, which as a few shortcomings that really keeps it from standing with the market-makers, everything is easy to read and in a short time I developed a system to how all options worked together and what I would be getting.

3) Quality. The Ventris defines the standard in a sturdy casing. There is zero noise and all of these reverbs are usable as textures in developing melodic soundscapes and soloing for effect and melody.

Note: I tried them all and really thought I was going to buy the Boss RV-500, That is a great reverb unit also but falls way short in difference in expression between certain algorithms and the digital interface is way more cumbersome than the "quick set and no commit to memory" Ventris.

I will admit that I also love the Neunaber Immerse MKII for both tone and quality( lack of options is a detractor) and their Illumine machine came out the week before I bought the Ventris.
