Available in four aging levels:
● Heavy Aged — Extensive wear throughout, replicating decades of heavy playing
● Light Aged — Subtle checking and gentle wear, retaining much of the original finish
● Ultra Light Aged — Minimal aging with very light lacquer crazing
● VOS (Vintage Original Spec) — Clean appearance with a thin, lightly buffed nitrocellulose finish that replicates vintage feel without visible wear

The key benefit of Murphy Lab instruments is the thin nitrocellulose lacquer, which allows tonewoods to vibrate more freely — contributing to enhanced resonance and a more open, dynamic tone compared to standard production models.
